COVID Protocols in Vienna, VA

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we will be following in our practice to keep you as well as our staff safe. Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

For this reason, we have invested in new aerosol reduction devices, protective personal equipment (PPE) including KN95, faceshields, and sneeze guards. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to the evidence-based recommendations.

To help protect you and our staff, you may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment:

Screening Protocols

Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. Please answer promptly via text.

Team Wellness Checks

Our doctors and team are screened daily for symptoms and temperature checks.

Limited Capacity

We ask that only patients (and 1 adult for children under age 18) enter our office, and we encourage anyone entering our office to wear a face mask or any type of face covering. Only patients will be admitted in the treatment area.

Frequent Disinfection

Our common areas are being cleaned at regular, frequent intervals with antibacterial cleaning supplies so that there is no buildup or cross contamination of any kind.

Office Changes

We are running at reduced capacity to allow for social distancing protocols to be maintained. This may mean you are offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment. We ask for your patience and understanding when scheduling. We will make every effort to ensure you are able to be seen as soon as possible.

We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call our office at (703) 952-7203 or email us at office@tysonswestortho.com.
